With its disarmingly off-center column base and elegantly curving slim tabletop, Ovale is a striking addition to the Palais series from designers Anya Sebton and Eva LiljaLöwenhielm. Asplund's sofa table echoes the panel-covered pedestal motif that defines the collection, taking both inspiration and its name from an exhibit seen at Paris's Palais Royal. Carefully crafted in Sweden from solid oak and available in a choice of stain tones, the base is also weighted for extra stability. The matching lacquered tabletop in oak veneer is treated with a durable polyurethane finish.
