Barry is instantly recognizable with its strikingly curled base that lends the round dining table a distinctly graphic personality. From his Brussels studio, designer Alain Gilles plays on shifting visual perception with the 3 curved metal panels that either appear heavier or more lightweight depending on the viewing angle. The thin metal sheet legs support a tabletop with a deep chamfered edge that lends a bit of a levitating sensation to the surface, available in varied woodgrain finishes, lacquer colors or marbleized ceramic.
