A godfather of Danish style, Arne Jacobsen's signature piece combines a desk, lamp, table shelf and drawers in a minimalist magnum opus. Created in 1952 for the American-Scandinavian Foundation’s New York office, AJ52 Society Table is made of solid and veneer oak or walnut and steel and the tabletop is covered with fine leather that reveals the legs at the corners. The brushed stainless-steel lamp's shelf base has glass sides and the suspended drawer unit appears to float below the desktop.
