In the armchair CH37 version, Hans J. Wegner's minimalist dining seating combines easy comfort and a spare angular profile. Straightforward, sturdy and expertly crafted, the design reflects the influence of Shaker furniture along with the designer’s own inspired touches, particularly in legs that taper off slightly toward the floor and the curved backrest, more rounded at the top than the bottom for greater back support. A hand-woven paper cord seat adds textural contrast, with the armchair made in solid oak or beech with a range of available finishes.
