Soul Story 3 Wall Lamp

Soul Story 3, like its sister wall lights, was born of a chance meeting between French-Lebanese designer Charles Kalpakian and DCW Èditions’ Frédéric Winkler at a design fair. In white plaster, with or without gold leaf decoration, the designer plays on the image of a dusky night suddenly being pierced with a surreal ray of light in the varied constructions lit by an integrated LED. Kalpakian even includes a doppelgänger of himself in the small metal figure standing watch, inviting further contemplation of the configuration while also acting as a type of signature.
