Midcentury eminence Børge Mogensen’s signature sofa scales down to a 2-seater version for smaller contract environs and compact living quarters. Mogensen 2208 captures the same serenity of trim leather-clad contours and precise proportions as the larger 2209, reflected in the graceful armrest curve, comfortably angled backrest and the gentle angle of the back. Playing on a style he conceived for his own house in Copenhagen, the designer’s devotion to the everyday functionality of finely crafted furnishings made him a pioneer of the Danish style.
