The Kumahida Lounge Chair by HIDA, designed by Kengo Kuma, embodies the fusion of Japanese woodworking mastery and contemporary comfort. Crafted from solid walnut or white oak with a smooth polyurethane finish, its signature continuous bent-wood frame—known as mageki—flows seamlessly from the legs through the arms and backrest, creating a graceful ribbon-like form. The seat is sculpted for ergonomic comfort, with finely tapered edges that lend the chair a light, floating appearance.
