Though a nostalgic link to its origins in modernist furniture design, British brand L. Ercolani only recently revived Utility Stool as part of its Originals collection. In fact, these barstools were first made in the 1950s for the company's draftsmen to use at their drawing boards. Whether put to service while sketching a portrait or hoisting a pint, there is something honestly appealing about these handcrafted, time-honored classics.
