Originally handcrafted in the British countryside, the classic Windsor chair was the springboard for Lucian Ercolani's modern update Utility. First adapted for production in 1943, the chair bow is steam-bent from a single straight ash rail and joins the back spindles in the classic configuration. A comfortably shaped saddle seat meets the legs with traditionally durable wedge joinery, the inset leg hand-sanded flush with the seat, and with additional strength provided by the H-underframe.
