Soda is named after one of the 3 main ingredients of glass in this case, a gorgeous 20-kilo tour-de-force that is blown, drawn out and shaped by a trio of master artisans. Collaborating with Greek creative Yiannis Ghikas, a much-lauded trailblazer with a background encompassing both computer science and design, Miniforms fashions a transparent table-cum-art object that plays with light and shadow, a single volume of Murano glass with 3 large petals forming the stem. And the hand-hammered surface fragments the table's very transparency, refracting the light. A wonder of this size and kind could only be realized by a handful of highly skilled glassmakers on the fabled Venetian isle.
