TAF Studio's Gabriella Gustafson and Mattias Ståhlbom were inspired by the shape of an acorn for their take on a traditional pendant that features a mouth-blown shade in semi-transparent glass with a sandblasted finish. "Designing simple things is often one of the hardest things to do," say the Stockholm-based designers of the fixture for Copenhagen's Muuto. Available in 4 sizes, each can be used on its own or grouped in linear formations or playful clusters as an ad-hoc chandelier. Rime "brings a timeless yet modern perspective to the archetypal light through its translucent shade and graphic form,” they add, and is complemented by a powder-coated aluminum top-part, pendant tube and cord.
