Constant Nieuwenhuys was a painter, CoBrA co-founder, and the visionary architect behind New Babylon — a utopian city designed for creative play. The IJhorst is the rare moment those worlds touched furniture. Designed around 1954 for Spectrum, it reads almost as a spatial construction made small: a powder-coated steel wire frame where tension and compression are the whole aesthetic argument. Walnut, natural oak, Fenix Black laminate, or anthracite glass tops. Three sizes.
