Carolina Wilcke trained first as a goldsmith — and you can see it. Where another designer might have stopped at the silhouette, Wilcke worked the screw hardware into the colorway logic: black on black, brass on taupe. Her 2015 Tangled Square, originally made for Spectrum, the Dutch modernist furniture maker now folded into Pastoe, is a table that rewards close attention. Two interlocking powder-coated steel volumes hold three clear glass tiers. The geometry is rigorous. The care in it is quiet.
