A tower of stacked metal discs filtering its inner glow, Maija's floor lamp version was inspired by Baltic cities, where the streets are barely illuminated but for the light from the inside of homes and shops. Legendary Finnish mid-century designer Ilmari Tapiovaara's 1955 modernist classic conveys that atmospheric sensation of illumination shining outwards, shielded with window blinds. Updated with a built-in LED and diffuser, the lamp is finished in matte white with similarly matte brass legs.
