Hamburg-based Frederik Kurzweg often takes design cues from industrial sights like a column of a bridge or a stack of construction pipes, as seen in his layered pendant light made of perforated steel sheets. Superpose radiates a soft ambient illumination and a direct light downwards—while its holed pattern casts lively shadows on its surroundings. Even when switched off, the hanging light continues to intrigue, with its coupled forms finished in a clarifying white powder-coat finish.
